New Series & New Characters but SAME RILEY AWESOMENESS

“Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus”. I know using a famous line from an editorial by Francis Pharcellus Church is a weird way to start a book review but how else am I to explain my wonder and joy [too much? LOL] at a new book by Riley Edwards releasing the day after Christmas?

“Playing with Lies,” the first book in the Hollow Point series, takes us back to the cool town of Hollow Point, a place Triple Canopy fans know and love. It’s here we meet Detective Dalton Neary, remember him? The super hot, commitment-phobic guy from earlier stories. And Vanessa, she’s just awesome – sassy, funny, and the kind of girl you’d want as your bestie. Their chemistry is off the charts, making for some seriously fun and awkward moments.

Riley Edwards has done it again, delivering a story that’s a total rollercoaster. It’s not just about Vanessa and Dalton’s sparks – the book is packed with suspense, a bit of mystery, and loads of heart. Riley has this magic touch for creating characters that feel like old friends, making you laugh one minute and keep you on the edge of your seat the next. Every time she drops a new book, I think I can’t love her work any more than I already do, but here we are! “Playing with Lies” is a testament to her talent, and I’m already counting the days until the next one in the Hollow Point series.
